Principle and precautions of winding drive transformer

The winding principle of the driving transformer is mainly based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. When AC current passes through the primary winding (also known as the primary coil) of a transformer, alternating magnetic flux is generated in the iron core. This alternating magnetic flux will pass through the secondary winding (also known as the secondary coil), inducing an electromotive force in the secondary winding and achieving voltage transformation. By adjusting the turns ratio of the primary and secondary windings, it is possible to flexibly achieve the transformation of different voltage levels to meet the needs of various electrical equipment.

precautions

When winding the drive transformer, the following points should be noted:

Drawing and material verification:

Before starting the winding process, carefully check the drawings to ensure that the specifications of the wires and insulation materials match the requirements of the drawings.

Measurement of winding tire size:

Measure the outer diameter of the winding tire with good support bars to ensure that the size meets the requirements of the drawing, in order to ensure the accuracy of the transformer size produced by winding.

Wire insulation inspection:

During the winding process, attention should be paid at all times to whether the insulation of the wire turns is broken or if there are running or missing layers, in order to prevent short circuits or leakage problems caused by poor insulation.

Wire bending treatment:

When winding, attention should be paid to the bending condition of the wire. If bending is found, it should be leveled with wooden boards or straightened with cloth straps wrapped with pliers or wrenches. Metal tools should not be used to directly contact the wire to prevent damage to the insulation layer of the wire.

Winding direction and tap position:

When winding, attention must be paid to the winding direction to ensure consistency with the drawing requirements. At the same time, attention should be paid to the position and number of turns of the tap to meet the needs of circuit design.

Welding quality inspection:

After the winding is completed, it is necessary to check whether the wire welding is good, to ensure that the welding points are firm and there is no virtual welding or detachment phenomenon.

Selection of magnetic core and skeleton:

The selection of appropriate magnetic cores and skeletons has a significant impact on the performance of transformers. Suitable magnetic core materials and skeleton structures should be selected according to design requirements to ensure the electrical performance and mechanical strength of the transformer.

Wire selection:

Choose the appropriate wire according to the current size and insulation requirements. Commonly used wires include enameled wire, multi strand wire, three-layer insulated wire, etc. Different wires have different characteristics and applicable ranges, and should be selected according to specific situations.

Winding process:

When winding, the winding should be kept tightly and evenly distributed to avoid overlapping winding or winding onto the retaining wall. At the same time, it should be ensured that the width of the insulation tape is greater than the width of the bone groove of the skeleton to ensure the insulation effect.

Assembly and testing:

When assembling after winding, it should be ensured that the magnetic core is well connected and securely fixed. After assembly, electrical parameter testing and safety compliance testing should be conducted to ensure that the transformer performance meets the design requirements.

In summary, the winding principle of the driving transformer is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. During the winding process, attention should be paid to drawing verification, measurement of winding tire size, wire insulation inspection, wire bending treatment, winding direction and tap position, welding quality inspection, selection of magnetic core and skeleton, wire selection, winding process, assembly and testing, and other aspects. Following these precautions will help ensure the performance and safety of the transformer.
